The Dakota Alert DCPA-4000-125 is a reliable wireless driveway alarm system designed to detect vehicles entering your property. Utilizing a magnetic vehicle probe, it senses changes in the magnetic field caused by large moving metal objects like cars, trucks, and heavy equipment. This ensures accurate detection without false alarms from animals or environmental factors.
The system includes a 125-foot direct burial cable connecting the probe to a weatherproof transmitter, which operates on three CR123a batteries. When a vehicle passes within approximately 10–12 feet of the probe, the transmitter sends a wireless signal up to one mile to a compatible Dakota Alert 4000 Series receiver (sold separately). The receiver then alerts you with one of several selectable chime tones.
